The last week of October, 2022, saw the completion of the sheetrock inside my new train room. My contractor moved at a snail’s pace, taking 9 months to finish the interior.
While waiting for the ceiling to be sheetrocked, I coved the corners.
I rented a sprayer and painted the upper interior white on October 27.
On October 28, I spray painted the sky background and the lower portion of the layout wall. The sky on the previous layout was painted a close match to Sherwin Williams Rivulet Path, HGSW1366. I was not happy with the color in photographs as it looked washed out. This time I went with a shade darker, SW Blue Discovery, HGSW1365.
I liked the diorama look and choose an almost black SW Carbonized, HGWSW1481, for the lower part of the layout room, valances, and fascia.
I’m feeling so happy about finally getting started on my new layout.
