With warm weather and little wind yesterday, 20 sheets of backdrop were painted with a roller. The color is Sherwin Williams Blue Discovery (HGSW1365.) It is a little darker than my previous layout where the backdrop did not show up well in photos.
Today I began putting up the support structure for the backdrop. Vertical posts were run even with the top of the valance. They were attached to the lighting supports.
I tried removing the horizontal supports across the aisle but found there was some benchwork movement. Additional ones were added inside the valance where none existed. Now no movement exists in the center peninsulas.
Blocks were glued and screwed to the joists as backdrop supports. The 1×2 under the hardboard is only for temporary support. 24′ done!
