I’m a little behind in posting. Last week I finished the final switch for Gerber. I did not have any more laser cut tie strips so cut some individual ties to length and placed them on a reverse image of the switch.
Upside down masking tape held them in place until the installation on the layout. Glue was spread, ties flipped upside down in place and weighted down untie set.
They were sanded even and the switch was fastened down with Pliobond Industrial Contact Cement just like the rest of the Fast Tracks. Heat from the soldering iron vulcanized it.
