My old computer running Windows 7 has been replaced with a $230 recycled Win 10 computer. Has SSD so very fast. I’ve been working on entering data for the towns in JMRI and am done except for Gerber Yard. I’m not sure how I set it up on my last layout and have to investigate what I did. Have several sequences for trains – caboose and engine exchange since Gerber is a division point, generate switchlist for yard switcher, prepare departure trains.
Two new monitors are installed and now displaying layout schematic on upper one.
It is important to label all cables which I did on one side or the other of joists. A short was discovered in Anderson even though it was completely disconnected from the power supply – showing up as a short in Proberta which was still connected. Turned out one set of Anderson feeds were connected to Proberta by mistake. Easy to find problem because of the label “A.”
Wiring was installed for the new crossover in Red Bluff that John Garfield had suggested.
