A new warehouse that will service Gilmore Oil in Redding was started yesterday as part of the NMRA Lonestar Division 1 Make and Take program yesterday.  The kit was designed and laser cut by Duane Richardson,MMR.  Only a couple of pieces need any kind of cutting and then very minor.  Most pieces just popped out.  Thanks Duane!

Duane explained that he has tuned his laser for optimum cutting where little effort is needed to prepare kit.  What a difference from the older kit I just complained about.  Materials were much more to scale and trim cut out of laser board, a resin impregnated paper. Probably didn’t have that in 1990.

I got as far as painting all the walls a buttercup color and trim red.  These colors seem to match what Gilmore used in its advertising in the 1920’s.  Next month the clinic will be installing trim, windows, and roofing.

Attached is Duane’s sample that was shared last month.

In the meantime, back to work on the previous warehouse which will be installed in Proberta, the first town site I want to complete.
